WiraPass Terms of Use

Contents

These terms govern the use of the WiraPass app and its service at auth.wiracode.com (and its former address, auth.wiracode.my.id). WiraPass is developed by WIRA Code Indonesia. By using WiraPass you accept these terms and the WiraPass Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

WiraPass is an authenticator that stores and shows two-step verification codes, and an approval tool: other connected systems can ask you to approve or deny an action, such as a sign-in. WiraPass is not a password manager and does not replace the security of those systems.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a Google account, with Apple (on iPhone), or with an email address and password, and confirm that you are 18 or older. A WiraPass account is for you alone. Keep the account you sign in with secure; you are responsible for activity on your WiraPass account.

3. Your Responsibilities

  • Use a screen lock on your phone, and revoke or recover the approval phone promptly if it is lost.
  • Keep your backup code and authenticator codes secret. Never give them to anyone, including someone who claims to be the operator.
  • Approve only requests you started yourself, and check the system name and details. For a request you do not recognise, choose "Not me".
  • Keep another way to recover each service you protect, such as that service’s recovery codes. The operator cannot restore your access to other parties’ services.

4. Prohibited Use

  • storing codes for, or approving requests on, other people’s accounts without the owner’s permission;
  • adding a phone to someone else’s account or taking over someone else’s account;
  • circumventing, testing without permission, or overloading the service’s security mechanisms and servers;
  • fraud, impersonation or any other unlawful activity.

5. Integrated Systems

Systems that request approvals are registered by the operator, each with an API key. Such a system may only request approval for actions its user actually started, with an honest title and details. Flooding users with requests, sending misleading requests, or using WiraPass for messages that are not approval requests is prohibited. The operator may limit or revoke a system’s API key at any time, including without notice in case of abuse.

6. Availability and Liability

The service is provided as is, with no promise that it is always available. Notifications depend on networks and third-party services (Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Apple’s push service on iPhone), so they can be late or fail. Use the backup code when the phone is offline. The service may change, be interrupted or pause for maintenance. As far as the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect losses from using the service, including being unable to sign in to other services.

7. Suspension and Termination

Breaking these terms can lead to limited features or a deactivated account. You can stop at any time and delete your account yourself; see the account deletion page.

8. Third-Party Services

Signing in with Google or Apple, and notification delivery through Firebase Cloud Messaging, are also subject to those providers’ terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.

10. Changes and Contact

Changes to these terms appear on this page with their date, and we announce important changes in the app. Questions: support@wiracode.com.
